Issy Bonn (21 April 1903 β 21 April 1977) was a British actor, singer and comedian, most famous for his recording of “My Yiddishe Momme”. He appeared in two films, I Thank You in 1941 and Discoveries in 1939, where he played Mr. Schwitzer.
Bonn was born Benjamin Levin, he chose the name Benny Levine as an early stage name, and then becsme Issy Bonn. He performed on BBC Radio music shows and in music halls before retiring to become a theatrical agent.
His image appears on the cover of The Beatles album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. He died on his 74th birthday in London, England, where he was born.

Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band
The Beatles’ 1967 album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band has a widely recognized album cover that depicts several dozen celebrities and other images. The image was made by posing the Beatles in front of life-sized, black-and-white photographs pasted onto hardboard and hand tinted.
It was created by Jann Haworth and Peter Blake, who in 1967 won the Grammy Award for Best Album Cover, Graphic Arts for their work on it. Blake has said that the intention was to show a new band surrounded by fans after a performance.
